That's probably related with the browser and with addons/plugins you are using. I'm using Pale Moon, and have no issues with those sites. The functionality of antiX Advert Blocker has nothing to do with your browser or how your browser does warn or block sites. I might misunderstand what you are asking? So perhaps re-formulate your question .
I'm looking for exactly what those pages have to control advertising but I don't find anything
Seems this one within you picture is broken. For the others which seem to work have a look into /etc/hosts and you see exactly what has been blocked.

When next you try to install nvidia on mx19 on that machine pleas provide the /var/log/ddm.log. tganks
I tried first without checking the box to install unsupported driver (1stddm.log) and then secondly checking the box to install the unsupported driver (2ndddm.log).

Chris
thank you, I think I see the issue.

could you try this:

Code: Select all

apt-get install --install-recommends --reinstall bumblebee-nvidia nvidia-legacy-390xx-driver primus primus-libs-ia32:i386 nvidia-settings virtualgl virtualgl-libs:i386
It ran but didn't work. Terminal output attached.

well, it mostly worked.

you cand purge off nvidia-persistenced. I forgot that one

Code: Select all

sudo apt purge nvidia-persistenced
but did you get the question about unsupported hardware?

I ran that, but inxi -G still shows the driver for the Nvidia card as N/A.

what does "optirun inxi -G" give you?

Chris, let's try purging off and putting it back.

first purge off

Code: Select all

sudo ddm-mx -p nvidia
then reboot (probably not necessary but safer).

then run the apt-get command instead of ddm-mx, and post output.

you will need to purge off nvidia-persistenced, and it probably wouldn't hurt to do a "dpkg-configure -a" after that, just to make sure things are all nice and tidy.

mx-packageinstaller debian-backports and testrepo tabs...the folder in /tmp that mx-pi uses to store stuff doesn't always get created for some reason. this causes issues with the updates.

I suggest switching to /var/tmp for the download locations.

I took the cautious approach, and did a fresh install. I then ran:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install --install-recommends --reinstall bumblebee-nvidia nvidia-legacy-390xx-driver primus primus-libs-ia32:i386 nvidia-settings virtualgl virtualgl-libs:i386
It returned this error:

Code: Select all

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
nvidia-legacy-390xx-driver : Depends: nvidia-legacy-390xx-driver-libs (= 390.116-1) but it is not going to be installed or
