Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 1 feedback thread.
Trying the right-click menu entries on the screen:
Between "Run" and "Terminal" there is an empty space, if you press it it launches the "Settings manager", the name is missing to see it and be able to translate it.
I have seen a typo in my Spanish translation, is this menu uploaded to Transifex?
In All App->Accessories (full_menu):
"App Finder" entry is duplicated.
"compton" does nothing and does not show any error, from console it says that it is already running.
In All App->System
Ndivia driver installer, does not work, from MX tools, it works.
MX fix keys, the entry is duplicated and does nothing, from MX tools, it works.
All App->Settings:
Window manager settings, it does nothing...
Window manager, does nothing...
Greetings

This quirk is driving me crazy and I can't figure it out. I'm running tint2rc as my panel (situated at the bottom of screen) and when I mouse over either the network or speaker icons the tool-tip is below the panel. Now if I load spacedout-tint2rc (also situated at the bottom) the tool-tip appears above the panel. I've gone through the wiki (https://mxlinux.org/wiki/applications/tint2-panel/) with no luck.
How do I get the tool-tip for the network and speaker icons to show above the panel in tint2rc?

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 1 feedback thread.
As far as I remember it is a problem of the system tray and appears not only with tint2 but also with XFCE panel and others. Appearing tooltips over or under the panel depends on the icon size. You have to try to change it and look if the problem is still there.siamhie wrote: Wed Sep 01, 2021 4:31 pm How do I get the tool-tip for the network and speaker icons to show above the panel in tint2rc?

Thanks. I'll look into what spacedout-tint2rc icon size is for the sys tray.kobaian wrote: Wed Sep 01, 2021 5:10 pmAs far as I remember it is a problem of the system tray and appears not only with tint2 but also with XFCE panel and others. Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 1 feedback thread.
I think if you increase panel size a bit it will change that behavior, but can't remember very well either.

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 1 feedback thread.
It depends rather on if the icons in system tray are much smaller than the panel size or not. That's why in most of the cases you'll have to choose between smaller, but good-looking icons and the tool-tip out of the screen or ugly icons, that are as big as the rest of the panel icons, but tool-tips over the panel. The space-out panel is specific, very thin, all things on it are separated, so the tray looks ok. But on normal panel one rather expects the tray icons to be a little bit smaller than the rest and that's the source of the problem.

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 1 feedback thread.
Figured it out after looking through all the options of spacedout-tint2rc. I then tested it with another panel (nobattery-tint2rc) that defaults to the bottom where the tool-tip shows up below the panel and it worked there also. You don't have to change any icon size.
Settings manager>Tint2 manager>Config>'select the panel your using' and click on the icon in the upper left corner (Edit the selected theme). From there go to Panel>Window manager interaction>Maximized windows and change that selection to Fill the screen.

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 1 feedback thread.
Thanks. We'll look at revising those during the Beta2 review coming up.

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 1 feedback thread.
But that's not a good solution for the default panel, because it means you've got the maximized window below the panel. So if there's a status bar or another content on the bottom of the maximized window you won't see it...siamhie wrote: Wed Sep 01, 2021 7:56 pm Figured it out after looking through all the options of spacedout-tint2rc.
