Don't forget we also have an easy install of a backported long term supported 6.12 Debian kernel from Trixie in MXPI. you can install both it and the latest Liquorix 6.14 and switch at boot.

Fsearch is in the MX 21 and 23 main repository: https://mxrepo.com/mx/repo/pool/main/f/fsearch/
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

Thanks Stevo,

I tried to get the fsearch using the uip tool, because I had it loaded before. But when I ran the tool,on the new install, it said it could not be installed, unlike the other 20 packages.

So, I clicked your mxrepo link, and installed, works great as usual. :happy:

As for the alternate kernel 6.12 Debian LTS, if I install it, will it update automatically with synaptic upgrades?

So far the 6.14.10-2-liquorix is runnning well, a 12 hour uptime so far.

No, AHS Debian kernels are not automatically upgraded. You can do it with usually somewhat older 6.12 kernels in bookworm-backports, though...though they now have 6.12.38-1~bpo12+1, which I believe breaks MX Linux. A good reason not to have automatic upgrades. Liquorix kernels will be automatically upgradeg if installed via MXPI, though right now we are having issues with MX 23 and nvidia-driver installing with the latest 6.15. Works fine on MX 25, though.

@entropyfoe
I would do then is open MX Package Installer and install all the packages that are missing, then create a new UIP file.

I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.
