Hi,
I'm sorry but there were some pretty vital permissions issues on 23.1 that couldn't be fixed with package management alone, I very strongly recommend 23.2. Is there a way I can help you with the data cost?
wow, is there a way you can help me with data costs? YES, if you are willing, why would I turn down help to my benefit?
but at the same time, I haven't received international payments and so I only have a paypal account I opened because I could open it...
but paypal blacklisted my country for a long time that after they allowed us to have accounts, we could not withdraw the funds to our local bank accounts...what is my country? I heard our president was the number three man on the most corrupt presidents in the world...

...all the same I am willing to open what payment systems you suggest...
alright, about AVL 23.1, I tried several installations yesterday, up to 5 times or more, no issue with installations but once the system reboots after installation, it says no boot device found, I was astonished! What kind of error was this? I haven't been beaten by any laptop when it came to OS installation before and despite how small a market share linux had, they have all installed and booted...
so I had to do what most linux gurus no longer have strengths and patience for...tinkering with linux till it works for you...
but long story short, the issue was most likely with the hp 8460p laptop, I came across a linux mint forum thread that talked about the no boot device found error and a user who had same laptop I have commented...

My Elitebook 8460P has the same issue. It's due to the HP early UEFI implementation. You must install Linux in legacy mode with secure boot turned off. If you are dual booting with windows, you also have to install windows in legacy mode as well. Hope it works out for you, good luck.
and he also suggested a solution which I haven't tried

Hello again, I just remembered that Ventoy does not work for this as the Ventoy stick uses UEFI to boot. If you have access to another Linux computer use the built in image writer on another usb stick and it should work fine. Sorry about that!
it is seldom we in linux find people who use same device, same ISO installation method and
same linux OS...
but I decided to wait on trying out the solution because I have lost about 2 or 3 8gb flash drives, when linux ISO's were crossing the 2gb mark, to the rufus way of making bootable ISOs which is why I went Ventoy...even sd cards I got same time period are still operational, I admit I might have exhausted the write limit due to intensive testing of linux distros and windows modded ISO's but it was all unexpected for me, I have never had genuine/original storage drives fail me before...I know it might be advised against but I still use my bootable USB's as normal flash drives storing information...
if I am going to use rufus, I will have to get AVL 23.2 first....
