Freja you help with 'I will continue to make artistic contributions from my own sane mind.' you actually inspire/help me too , Love your artworks.Freja wrote: Sun Mar 24, 2024 8:37 pm Happy 10th anniversary!
Never before has "spirit" been so important.
I am confident that the solidarity and spirit of the forum, development team, supporters, etc. will make the distro come alive.
One user described MX as a "castle of sanity." This seems like a powerful keyword.
I will continue to make artistic contributions from my own sane mind.
I'm so glad I found MXL

Happy Anniversary to everyone and thank you to everyone involved in making MX what it is today.
I still have MX-14 on cd here somewhere.
I've been using MX most of the time since those days.
Distro hopped a couple of times since then but there was always something that either wouldn't work, or support was lacking, or I just couldn't get working at all and I always ended up back using MX again.
I rarely bother even looking at other distros anymore.
About the only thing these days I find I can't use MX for directly, updating Garmin GPS's, I use Windows in a VM running on MX to do the updates.
Nice work people

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MX

As others have posted, I came to MX when trying to find a solution to EOL for Windows 7. I tried Windows 10 on a 28GB Tablet PC, which MS could not update due to the Tablet's eMMC storage limitations. I searched ye old Internet, and I heard about MX from various podcasts, and the infamous "DistroWatch". I'm originally a CLI-guy (Unix) from 40 years ago, but got hooked on Windows for 30 years. I was trepidatious about the switch to Linux; tired Mint, etc., until I found MX.
For me, the Crown Jewel of this Distro is the MX Community, and its Forum!
As I have said in the past, not only has every one of my problems been solved by interested, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and supportive Forum members, but solved quickly, and very often by the Devs, Admins, Moderators, and Official Guides.
What an AMAZING Distro & Community!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
And how can I call myself the "OperaDude" without some music !?!

My first experience here was with SimplyMEPIS 2003. Been here ever since. Great distro and a most excellent population. 'Nuff said...
