This is awesome! I am massively grateful for these links! Immediately used one of them - the one you "recommended for cheapskates"; there, and I'm not even blushing! - and just finished watching the documentary. Is it a great docu? Maybe some of it, especially when it starts connecting social media to civil war and the end of civilization, isn't as vonvincingly argued as one could wish, and some of the dramatized sections seem a little stilted here and there. Still, if you want a comprehensive overview of the type of problems we are being confronted with when it comes to social media and their social and political effects - then listen to guys like Jaron Lanier and particularly Tristan Harris, some of their contributions are chillingly thought-provoking. None of it is new, but more or less all of it offers rich food for thought, so that's a good thing.MXRobo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 1:11 pm The documentary isn't great - "The Social Dilemma", but it's worth watching, and these links may make me seem like a movie buff, but they're just links to possibly watch it – and other stuff.
