Re: autoremove fails
brad, I am late to this thread but taking your last post as the question, Quick System Info (QSI) as Huck has explained, is something you should be able to run from the Whisker menu. Are you saying that when you click on the whisker icon (bottom left of your screen if using XFCE and horizontal panel layout) and then type Q you can't see the Quick System Info (icon)? As far as whether QSI is in the repo, I haven't looked because I believe QSI is baked into the MX distribution(s).
Re: autoremove fails
If you have a look at attachments we will see there is no QSI on my MX. But I can access MX_tools/About which produces similar output.

Shortly:
or
The latter is the older, the newer one may be just not displayed in the menu.
Just: Once you run the latter (or the former and click the copy button) directly right-click: paste into your post. (No need to manually select/highlight and copy etc. cause that will exclude the code tags.. )
Code: Select all

Code: Select all
sudo dpkg --configure -a
In the meantime: As Dolphin already asked: Did you use "Grub Customizer" ? (that generally causes trouble).
