5. I think it would be useful adding GTK-greeter preferences to MX-Fluxbox-Settings.

It should show up in MX Tools, where it belongs IMO as an advanced tool. But it's not there so will have to look at the desktop file.
Maybe a link can be added into the "about-mx-fluxbox" item ?

Back to the battery: I haven't found anything yet in a web search or looking at the man file.

I can't test, but can someone try filling the last two fields in the config file like this (this is a wild guess!):

Code: Select all

# Battery
battery_tooltip = 1
battery_low_status = 10
battery_low_cmd = xmessage 'tint2: Battery low!'
battery_full_cmd =
bat1_font = Noto Sans Bold 12
bat2_font = Noto Sans 9.5
battery_font_color = #df3030 100
bat1_format =
bat2_format =
battery_padding = 1 9
battery_background_id = 3
battery_hide = 25
battery_lclick_command =
battery_rclick_command =
battery_mclick_command =
battery_uwheel_command =
battery_dwheel_command =
ac_connected_cmd = battery_hide = 101
ac_disconnected_cmd = battery_hide = 25

1) open /.config/tint2/tint2rc in geany or featherpad
2) search for

Code: Select all

battery_low_cmd = xmessage 'tint2: Battery low!'
3) delete the message so it looks like this

Code: Select all

battery_low_cmd =
4) save and close

Still looking for the desktop low message problem itself...
I did the same thing using Tint2 Manager>Config!

There's a bug in "nobattery-tint2rc" - no "exit-options", browser icon instead. Probably there is one "P" missing in the config file.
I'll have to wait to see if anyone else reports this b/c the icon link is correct and I've not had a problem on the various machines I've tested on so far.
I can confirm the wrong icon shows. If you copy and paste the icon address from the config, or from the text file, into Thunar, it shows the correct logout icon - weird!

Edit:

OK, I figured it out.
Button 3 is in the wrong place, and button 4 is missing.

Settings Manager would be more appropriate, as lightdm-gtk-settings is not a MX tool. That is also where it is under Xfce.

Nope; didn't fix it.

Thanks. I installed it and ran a test: moved the login box to the screen bottom, rebooted but no change. Will pursue., worked fine.

BTW: @Adrian's custom toolbox is terrific--having the edit button right on the main screen saves a lot of time for everybody.
