What is the perceived advantage from installing Fluxbox? What is gained? Is RAM saved? How much? What functionality is lost? Does Fluxbox do anything better than XFWM4/XFCE4?

People are doing testing now. Chrispop99 will be going through, and Adrian already reported the following after a quick check:
I tried it and it seems to be 200MB lighter than Xfce
In addition to speed and resources, which I don't happen to need all that much, for me the minimalistic aesthetic is very important. Since all of Xfce4 is still present and functioning, I don't foresee many complaints about loss of functionality.
If people don't like it or it doesn't serve their needs or wants--they should just leave it alone, end of story. No one is being forced to do anything.

My guess is that someone will have fun using Fluxbox... and I think that is what it's all about.

Nice and functional. The Faq is great, the menu is extrem easy to adjust. As I like dark-ish themes, I installed lxappearance and switched gtk themes and icons sets.

Oh, boy! I'm going to have to try this on my 32-bit Atom netbook and see if I can have MX on it that runs as fast as antiX does. I just tested it on MX-19 in Virtualbox and it's pretty sweet. A couple of niggles or glitches though (that are probably due to pilot error so I won't say anything about them yet.)

That looks nice! Glad you like the FAQ, it took a lot of time...
I need to take a look at lxappearance some time.

Bring it! I'm hoping we can do another version before the end of time that is more of a group effort.
BTW: my repo is here:
https://github.com/jerry3904/mx-fluxbox, and DO has now forked it up to the main MX Linux repo (linked up top).

I think it is safe to say that you'll enjoy it.

Have spent an hour or so experimenting with it, had some of JayM's pilot error but overall I like it. Returned to XFCE to get some work done today. Fluxbox again later.
Thanks Jerry.
