Haven't tried any of those. nvidia hasn't been installed yet, this is trying to run live.

Will try when I get back, have to step out for a bit.

If you wouldn't mind trying again so that we can see your X.Org log this will generate a link that you can copy & post here:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install pastebinit
pastebinit -i /var/log/Xorg.0.log 2>/dev/null
But if you also can't get to a desktop with sysvinit then this is off-topic for this thread really.

Uhmm.. it will generate a link?

You need it to be a bit more specific as I am NOT versed well in terminalspeak.. how do I get to said link to post it here after I boot back into my mx19? Is it on the USB stick then? And if so.. where?

edit: tried it.. figured what the hey... well..

"unable to locate package pastebinit"

There are a number of logs in antiX-Live-usb/Live-usb-storage/root/live-logs/ though?

The output should be very short, for example:

Code: Select all

empty@E485:~ $ pastebinit -i /home/empty/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log 2>/dev/null
http://paste.debian.net/1120559/
empty@E485:~ $
So you could just write it down. But that's irrelevant if you can't connect so try

Code: Select all

sudo dhclient
^ That will probably connect you if you only have a wired interface.

eadwine - does the sysvinit version of antiX-19 boot i.e. the one released in October?
