Noticed one thing so far: desktop backgrounds, used to be a few, now there are only two. Easy to add, of course
Continuing the install.
How are things with virtualbox on this RC? All ok? Haven't attempted that one yet.
Do you mean installing VirtualBox or running it in VirtualBox? The latter is fully functional.

Wee little bug, noticed it in RC1 as well, now reporting
Go to menu, settings, settings manager, keyboard, application shortcuts
I wanted to change the screenshot grabber xfce4-screenshooter to another key.
Double click the shortcut, enter new shortcut combo, boom the entire line for the screenshot thing is gone for me.
I can simply re-add so no biggie.
Jerry: VB on MX14b2 was not just fine if you recall my reporting about it, and I was told to wait and things would be fixed. Something like that. Hence my asking. So this was fixed?

We re-mapped Screenshooter to the PrtSc key for RC2.
Didn't remember you had trouble before (the group not being created question?), was only referring to the fact that underlying both is the same Debian Stable base. I will try here later. I usually install directly rather than through the repos.

I would also recommend installing VB from the site (or using svmi) rather than via synaptic.

VB may need a separate topic if we run into anything. I am not done tweaking just yet, so not down to repo-install VB yet (I do that last).
Anticapitalista: why?
And what is svmi? (sorry, I guess I completely missed that thing *shrug*)

Why directly? Only because I remember people having issues when doing so via synaptic. I have no idea why there were issues.
svmi is part of the smxi tools. Type svmi in a root terminal and follow the instructions. Choose the non-ose version from Wheezy

Install from repos seems to work, but will not start after rebooting. Don't have time now to look into it, will purge and install from the website as usual.

This is an Xfce 'thing'; it's like this in every distro. There is some extra info here:

There is no way to edit an existing entry. The way you have found, by deleting, then re-creating an entry is the only way. In my opinion, the real 'bug' is that double-clicking an entry produces a dialogue box that leads you to believe you can do something with it.

The version of Virtual Box that Synaptic will install is 4.2.16. Sorry, I've forgotten what problem you were having, but I've just installed VB, together with the recommends, and the guest additions (10 files in all), and have successfully created a virtual XP machine.
Edit (Additional information):
After a reboot, I did
not have to add myself to vboxusers group; Virtual Box launched OK.
