You need your original downloaded iso - MX-14_13.97_386-xfce.iso
You need to be running linux
You need to install xdelta3 if you don't already have it.

1. Download the patch called fix_delta from here:

http://www.mepisimo.com/antix/Others/

2. Put the delta patch in the same directory as the MX-14_13.97_386-xfce.iso

3. In that directory, open a terminal and type:

xdelta3 -d -s MX-14_13.97_386-xfce.iso fix_delta MX.iso

4. Burn MX.iso to cd/dvd
The patch worked for me! Hope this helps.

Hi, all.

I couldn't get the xdelta utility to work using the syntax that was published. Is it possible to get access to the nightly buillds, which incorporate this fix?

Thanks,

Chris.

There aren't any nightly builds.

Do you have xdelta3 installed?
What was the error message?

Did you get the first ISO from the torrent? It has a different name you might need to rename it before applying the patch.

Jerry, we need to make sure we use the ISO name consistently...

Yeah. There was a mixup between anti and me about naming that certainly won't happen again.

Hi, guys. I used xdelta from my distro repository, not xdelta3 which is also available. Just installing the correct xdelta now and making a new ISO. I'll report back.

Cheers,

Chris.

I'm not sure if you can use xdelta on it instead of xdelta3.

As Adrian noted, the name of iso file you would have gotten from the torrent is "MX-14_13.97.iso".

If that's what you have, you need to rename it to "MX-14_13.97_386-xfce.iso", because the patch is for a iso file with that name.
