Oops, I gave Adrian the old package name for the video thumbnailer in Dolphin previews. Remove ffmpegthumbnailer and install ffmpegthumbs, then enable the video previews in Dolphin's Preview settings.

I would like to change the font size and color of the text in the box that comes up when you right click and check for updates.
How would I go about doing that?

That's the Konsole terminal emulator, which runs bash. Setting bash's fonts, colors and the prompt would be done the same way as setting them in Xfce Terminal, by editing your .bashrc file. A web search will tell you exactly how to edit the font colors (I'm not sure if you can change the size, but probably.) For example I found this in just a few seconds in Duckduckgo. Also there was a long thread in the forum a year or so ago about customizing the terminal prompt that contains lots of information. You can search for that.

He might be referring to the right click context menu of apt-notifier.

True, I think I misunderstood. If that's the case the font size is set by System Settings -> Fonts -> Fixed-width. I don't think there's a way to change the font's color unless you edit the theme.

Comment: what a great beta! Probably 99% of users' issues in this thread are just a matter of us all floundering around in Plasma and learning how it works vs. the Xfce that we're all used to. There have been very few actual problems with the OS itself, and I think those have all been fixed already (like the issue of QSI info not being copied to the clipboard which was fixed in a newer version of mx-goodies.)

One very annoying thing: whenever I install updates the right-click action menu for the update notifier always opens by itself toward the end of the updates' installation, and it stays open after the terminal closes. I have to left-click on the desktop to dismiss it.

Hello dolphin_oracle
middle-click on Desktop . mouse actions.
brings up note. this is indeed consistent with middle-click set to Paste.
Even when a editor or text input box is available, with focus, a click in desktop opens note with pasted content.

I was checking to see if it interferes with highlight, middle-click to copy
and middle-click to paste. This in fact incorporates with it and does not interfere.
Sure is a quick view verify of clipboard. clipboard never empty to accomplish this? indicates this is a well thought
Feature of this desktop.

Bonjour,

To better understand the use of the 3 System Load indicators on the taskbar, I modified the colors like this:

Another boring, yawner beta. I haven't even had any WTF??? moments. They need to get to coding in the latest and greatest bugs and breakage if they plan on keeping the interest up.
