M12 11.9.92
Re: M12 11.9.92
I just added this to mepis 12 repositories reloaded and it install google chrome using synaptic with no problems.I'm running 32 bit system.john deb http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main
Re: M12 11.9.92
Found this on google chrom site
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Add to /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main
2. Try to install (or upgrade from 30.0.1599.66) google-chrome-beta
3. The dependecies cannot be met, hence disallowing to cleanly install (or upgrade) the package.
What is the expected behavior?
All dependencies should be met.
What went wrong?
The dependecies cannot be met due to unavailable libraries, which are specific to 64-bit repos:
lib32gcc1
lib32stdc++6
libc6-i386
Did this work before? Yes 30.0.1599.66
Chrome version: 31.0.1650.11 Channel: beta
OS Version: Ubunu 12.04
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202
What is interesting, the DEB for 64-bit version is working correcly, and even the mentioned packages are not dependants.
Maybe the build script wrongly puts dependencies not in the right arch (32 vs. 64)?

Re: M12 11.9.92
They fixed the dependencies of the 32bit google-chrome-stable package yesterday (or two days ago). It's now at version 30.0.1599.114-1 and no longer has the 64bit depends for lib32gcc1, lib32stdc++6 & libc6-i386.golden45 wrote:Found this on google chrom site

Re: M12 11.9.92
I just noticed, that I now can not speed up the boot times any longer.
A while ago, I could press escape key to boot quicker, but now it seems my keyboard is loading later in the boot process.
Any one notice this, with the updates?

Re: M12 11.9.92
I have found a shortcoming in 11.9.92; I should have found it a long time ago, but I rarely use CD's or DVD's (USB keys work all the time). Many of them will not mount under .92, but worked fine under Mepis 11. Live CD/DVD's work properly, but the same disks will not mount as data disks; so the problem is in the beta, not in my BIOS. MSystem also works to write keys. And the same is true on all 4 of the machines I have, including the laptop (which of course has an entirely different BIOS than the desktops - the mainboards are not all from the same manufacturer, anyway).

Re: M12 11.9.92
I have no problem mounting the M11.9.92-64 DVD. It opens in Dolphin and I can open and read the text files on it.
