Ksnip installed it from the stable repository. But it works erratically.

1. Install the version in the MX Test repo via MXPI.
2. In ksnip Options > Settings, uncheck minimize to tray.

Gerson, in current versions of ksnip, once you open it, it defaults to hiding in the system tray when you close it via the X button in the window bar (instead of Quit in menu bar). In other words, it wasn't really shut down but in system tray. That is similar to Clementine.

To have it working the way it used to, go to Options >> Settings, and uncheck the whole "Use Tray icon" option, instead of just "minimise to tray".

You don't need the version in Test Repo to have that option. Stable Repo version has that setting as well.

I have only tried in Live version on a small Pentium laptop and noted three things:
  1. "Could not sync environoment to dbus" - apparently already mentioned and addressed
  2. Touchpad on ahs (including XFCE-ahs live) is overly sensitive - on trying to adjust it (2x) it caused the cursor to become unresponsive both times
  3. Minor settings issues: default e-mail client is Kmail (which is not part of the live iso); terminal is Konsole even though Yakauke is loaded and functioning
Looks like a good KDE implementation, although I think XFCE should remain the flagship edition. I am a former KDE user and like many thing about the settings and hardware support, but have become less and less enthusiastic about KDE software applications.

wifi in the beta kde version doesn't auto connect, I have to manually connect each session.
Also it has the same name as the normal regular xfce. I am dual booting and it is confusing with the same name.

This was expressly stated as a known issue in the Beta announcement. I have also mentioned it to another poster in this thread previously.

Also, did you check the checksums of the downloaded iso?

In your last line, are you saying there is no icon in the panel for WiFi/network Connection?

You need to post your Quick system info (qsi) as stated before, so the experts here can look at your network card and other hardware specs etc.

this particular issue is fixed in an update to plasma-nm but it will only affect new connections, not existing ones.

I see that there a lot of KDE packages in the package manager after installing this beta. Also some in the Testing tab.
Is it ok to install any of these we want and should some of these be included in the default MX-KDE?
