I was in St Augustine FL last week and became fascinated with the local building materia called "coquina" (mixture of sand, seashells and limestone). I took a picture of it with lots of moss growing on the wall of the early 18th century fort "El Castillo." I like it as a background b/c it is simultaneously non-distracting and yet full of visual interest. I coupled it with a shorter and fatter version of
@kobaian's panel, and with
@Melber's new theme MX Ease.
1. I recognize that most people here like a very different approach.

Looks great, always nice to have a unique BG that you took yourself. MX Ease is looking great too, very clean theme!

Yes, that is nala's output. Well, it's actually a small script to select
nala (if installed) or
apt to upgrade the system:
Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash
if : >/dev/tcp/8.8.8.8/53; then
if [ -x /usr/bin/nala ]; then
x-terminal-emulator --hide-menubar --title "Run update" --class=run-update --geometry 108x36 -e /bin/bash -c "sudo nala upgrade ; echo ""; bash "
else
x-terminal-emulator --hide-menubar --title "Run update" --class=run-update --geometry 108x36 -e /bin/bash -c "sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade ; echo ""; bash "
fi
else echo "Internet appears to be offline...";
notify-send -t 15000 "Internet appears to be offline" -i "/usr/share/icons/Papirus/24x24/panel/network-offline.svg"
fi

Last screenshot in February. Actually no real changes, more same old same old
Fluxbox toolbar-style and gtk-theme: crunchbang
Conky-manager: conkyzen (bunsen), running conkii: wttr-weather and nakedeb-systeminfo
And sifting through fluxbox init file, checking current resource settings.Counting total 105 resources; probably due to added toolbar buttons and actions...
