Can you show up the /etc/fstab entry for Data partition? Also what's the permissions of files/folders in Data? Maybe an output of something like:

Yeah, it fails for me too. What I'm guessing is that you're not actually an administrator in the strict sense, at least if I'm understanding the default groups properly, so KDE has an error. You'll probably get much better mileage out of the MX User Manager when it comes to managing permissions.

NOTICE: users should see updates Mesa, libdrm, and a few other planned updates coming down the AHS pipe (as MX-KDE is based on AHS), when you get them may be dependent on your repo mirror.

Did you enable root user while installing?

Sadly i can confirm that spectacle crashes (both under init and systemd)
On plain bullseye+KDE, it does not crash even though it seems to be using the exact same package version (20.12.3-1)

further to my post (#120 )about Kodi acting up.... the flatpack version works as it should
i am speculating that the kodi package in MXPI is missing an additional package that the flatpack is installing out of the box
(same behavior on 2 machines btw)
@junoluna
Confirmed (am on xfce). Tried the install using the popular tab, and installing stuff on this Kodi is going wonky.
Removed everything (including those in autoremove), and then went to install the flatpack, and that looks to be working peachy.

That is, I set separate passwords for root and, regular user. But fact, I can use the manager or manually unsubscribe from the sudo group. Btw I noticed that there is pulse instead of alsa. Does this mean that we are getting closer to systemd? A lot of processes seem to be related to systemd

pulseaudio sits on top of alsa. both are installed.
MX has included systemd for about 6 years. things are basically the same as they were under mx17 and mx19.
