VScode is in popular apps. Its not in our repo, its in microsoft's repo.
sublime is not free nor open-source and they do not have a linux repository. there is a flatpak available.

It’s actually supposed to be on 7. What’s weird is that you aren’t switching to it automaticly when x starts.
Well, here's exactly what's happening. On boot-up, everything will be just fine all the way up to the login screen. And you do see SDDM there for about 2 seconds before it blanks out and goes to a CLI that is responsive but doesn't seem to take any input at all outside of switching virtual terminals.
Now either it is booting up to vt7 but switches to vt1 for some reason, or SDDM is switching to another vt.

I have selected Google Chrome as my default browser via system settings, but Firefox is still launched when I click on the link in the user manual.

What link exactly in the User Manual?

All the links I've tried open through Firefox.
I set the default browser to firefox and then changed it to google, the problem disappeared . Maybe because I used the original user directory when I reinstalled the system?

further to my post (#120 )about Kodi acting up.... the flatpack version works as it should
i am speculating that the kodi package in MXPI is missing an additional package that the flatpack is installing out of the box
(same behavior on 2 machines btw)

Alright, this should be my final post on this problem. This is mostly for anyone else that gets this problem.
I did some reading and afterwards, did a bit of tinkering with the /etc/systemd/system/getty.target.wants/getty@tty1.service file. Specifically, I just changed under the [Install] category DefaultInstance to tty2 instead of tty1 just to test something. And then that... Fixed the issue completely??? I don't know why that worked, but it did the job, so I don't really want to mess with it anymore. lol
EDIT: That actually didn't work. Sorry, I accidentally booted into SysVinit. I apologize.

Again this problem that I had already commented, and I thought I had solved, but it reappeared. (
viewtopic.php?p=656176#p656176)
When cutting and pasting from a /root, /home or USB partition to another partition of the same hard drive called "Data" although the file is pasted, the image message appears (access denied) I click on "Skip all" and the message is deleted and in the source partition still shows the file, but if I try to delete it tells me that it does not exist. The same thing does not happen if I just copy and paste, it is only when cutting and pasting, this does not happen between the /root and /home partitions. I did a clean installation from zero and recreated the /root, /swap, /home and /data partitions and I install all the programs from MX file installer. What can it be and how to fix it? The same thing happened to me with MX 21 Beta 1 and 2
