I have found that switching the mouse wheel scroll direction does not work everywhere.
In Firefox it works without problems, but in Libreoffice and in Thunar the scroll direction is not reversed.

@dirkduplooy Just this file is staying the same (purposely, as Dolphin mentioned) /etc/mx-version

So, nothing to worry.. Shortly, you just go on updating & upgrading as always and when final release is in repos, that one will be updated (changed) , too , to show MX-21_x64 Wildflower ...

Is it acting the same on Pop as it is on MX-21 or is it functioning how expected?

I honestly don't know enough about Optimus setups to help and like I said I don't have Nvidia hardware at all anymore.
@Huckleberry Finn or @JayM have become pretty good at these issues though. And dolphin_oracle is the go-to for the Nvidia Installer, I'm sure he has seen your posts, but like I said people need some time.

There is a ton of information and lists on Optimus laptops out there, I'm searching for Dell G3 3500, is that the the common (friendly) Model of this laptop or is it a G3 35## or other?

Edit: from what you explained earlier (if I remember it right), you may need to use Reverse Prime.

Also before messing around with all these settings and config files, it'd be good to have a fresh TimeShift Snapshot BEFORE and AFTER running the Nvidia Driver Installer. Cause troubleshooting can get messy with Optimus laptops (I think we had a dedicated thread for one person that was 100 posts long or some junk).

brief comments: A quick walk through the wildflowers

i finally had a chance to burn the rc1 and try it a bit. burned it onto a dvd to run it live via a memorex cd/dvd usb writer (/player). i did not get a chance to look through everything and i generally don't when i check out a live version. need to make sure trackpad and wireless works and i can begin tweaking things as i need them. I am picky and once i set it up i leave stuff - so trying to find all the settings stuff takes time which is a pain to redo a system for me. however, looks nice and runs nicely and i did not see anything re: glitches. some of the pwer and window settings seem to work though there seems to be a bit of difference vs 19. maybe different looks or options and settings. sorry for not being specific or documenting the little variables but as i said it looks nice and useable for daily use. i did not try the wireless hp 8600 but with hplip stuff it should load and work nicely. the quick system info

it's an old thinkpad x 201 my slower but daily beater workhorse. i have a faster nicer x220 in my office - trackpad is glitchier on that one using mx19 and did not try 21 on it.

i tried the mx19 rc1 the same way as such, and installed and never looked back. so generally from my walk through the widlflowers i can say it is rather sweet and fresh and looks and smells great - heh heh !!!

it also shutdown in less than a second which is the quickest shutdown i have seen esp whe running from a live cd/dvd.
there are usually a lot of files neede to be read etc to cloe it and end the trial.

wish i had a bit more time to try a bit more but as stated earlier - i did not see anything wrong or bad jump out at me! Nice work! Thanks to everyone. now to find the time and all of the areas that need to be tweak to install it for my likes.

I "think" a log out and login will work, but I know that rebooting works, since your testing an RC.... do whatever you want lol

I now have a fresh new installation, without the Nvidia driver.
The notebook is a g3 15 3500.
Which configuration files should I upload before installing the Nvidia driver?

I am unable to install MX-21 RC1 Xfce on a Lenovo Ideapad 3 Laptop. The touchpad isn't working. While I do know the code to get touchpad to work on an already installed distro. I am unable to partition the hard drive without touchpad working. I'd like to do a dual boot of MX Linux with Windows 10.
