^ That's a beautiful scenic shot. Very comfy and yet ominous picture...

Even though my hardware has a voluptuous 6GB ram available, am trying to minimize system memory usage.
I disabled startup applications like idesk, gkrellm, clipit and apt-notifier, as well as xfce4-power manager (falling back to basic power settings).
Qt-variables, polkit-agent, nm-applet and volumeicon are run at startup, as well as Wma-launcher dock, compton, conky and nitrogen (setting wallpaper instead of feh).
Even with mx-dock and a weather-scripted conky, the system idles at 245-250MB at startup...

Another of the wdscharff images as MXFB wallpaper--I call it "meadow" and love the colors

My MXFB, running Tint2, and my personalized menu, with window preview... All the functionality of a modern OS, none of the fat!

In joyful expectation of the next version of Fluxbox, I have processed what might come, especially Tint2 and Rofi.
After a few small teething troubles (the thing with the systray) I got it working.
I was surprised by the possibilities of Tint2, for example that you can specify additional "application directories", which is very useful for me.

mx-fluxbox, what else?

There are consequences.
