Yes it supports 64bit and I have currently ( and temporaly ) running pclinuxos 2023 which runs mate and was in use by my wife.
As I prefer cinnamon, we will share.
Cinnamon based on Mint is even better as I tested it already in the past ad in the test run it was fine

I just downloaded LinuxMint 22.2 cinnamon BETA
On my 14 year old lenovo G470 , BIOS only, I installed this beta release in logical partition sda8, 27Gb
Install went flawlessly, and also installation of 7 packages
There is nothing to moan about
So, I hope, when making a new respin. it will be as trouble-free for you as it is for me now.
