Quick note - updated RC2-derived snapshot ok ... but MX21 system has issue:
to install
. chrony
will remove
. mx-apps
. mx-datetime
. ntpsec
but
. mx-datetime
.. Depends: libc6 (>=2.34) but 2.31-13+deb11u6 is to be installed
...
(libc6 2.34+ not yet in repo?)

are you sure you are running RC2 and not still using mx21 repos?

the new mx-datetime installs cleanly on mx23. chrony will replace ntpsec though. this is OK.

MX21-installed system had update issue - RC2-derived live-usb did not. (If this is not the right place for this issue, sorry!)

Ah. Added mx-datetime and mx-apps. Adding ntpsec removed chrony. All good now. (Timing, eh?) Thanks, all!

Just installed RC2 today on a Dell Latitude E7250 and seems to be very stable so far. Browsing the menus, I noticed a few things missing like gdebi package installer but I didn't see a lot of new stuff. I will say that with my Brother laserjet, the printing worked out of the box which I was very happy about. It worked in MX19 just fine, then needed help to work in MX21 and now it's back to working right out of the box with RC2. The new logo/symbol, looks kind of occult sun worship based - a rising sun behind two pyramids - not digging that. Symbols can show who's behind something. I would hate to think Lucifer was the guy behind MX Linux or that the creators were into that kind of thing. I've seen similar symbolism popping up recently in other corporate logos. Personally, I like the old logo. The menus and colors look about the same to me as MX21. Looks nice. I'll be testing it a lot more. Cheers.

No, not Lucifer just a tremendously generous and talented art and development team... The pyramids have been there since Mepis, the circle was pulled into an ellipse to modernize an aging logo that needed some professional help... nothing to see here.. 9_9

Overall it seems to work really well. KiCAD 6 runs great - although it should probably be in the development folder and not a folder called Science. Thanks guys!
