Sorry for asking again. Is it possible to upgrade deadbeef to the latest version ? I think it has some important improvements, like media library and others. Here is the changelog:
https://deadbeef.sourceforge.io/posts/d ... s_out.html. Thank you.

I'd like to support this request since the app is a default for MXFB.
Thanks.

If you absolutely want the latest version, install the *.deb version available for download on the deadbeef website.
While this works fine on my system, there's no guarantee it will work on everyone (or yours).
I'd also prefer a current deadbeef version in MXPI.

I'll pull source from the github because the developer fixed 9 reported bugs last week including a memory leak.
It's often good to wait just a bit for these things to be discovered after a new release...

It has three other packages in our repo that are build-depends. I was updating libdispatch to 5.10.1, using deb-multimedia's source, and also building arm64 packages, since the last Deadbeef update in MX predates that architecture:

I already have amd64, i386, arm64, & armhf built using the current repo versions of those dependencies (had to build the debs for arm64).
Had an issue with both arm builds because -fstack-crash-protector was set in CFLAGS & CXXFLAGS by debhelper and that isn't valid for clang in arm. Took a while to figure that one out. For the arm builds I set the CFLAGS & CXXFLAGS explicitly in debian/rules. There's probably a better way with dh_buildflags but it worked for now.

Thanks for the updated dependencies.
I'll get those updates before I build the Trixie packages.

Deadbeef 1.10.0+git20250410 has just been uploaded to the MX-23 Test repository.
Mirrors will take some time to update, of course.
