My dearest community
First of all for your acknowledgment I am not tech savvy person. Has my friend who had helped me with an installation as I truly respect Open Source and philosophy behind it, and unfortunately I am facing currently som issues which I am not able to overcome.
I was blindly upgrading some libraries, as one my my application required it. And of course to make it easier I blindly followed AI generated suggestions which has brought me to the stage when I can not not run my OS.
I got the following issue:
startpar: service(s) returned failure: plymouth ... failed!
starpar: service(s) skipped, program is not installed: ntpsec spice-vdagent ... (warning)
And then there is a welcoming note:
Welcome to MX Linux! Powered by Debian
My login...
I would appreciate any help as I suppose to write a proposal for project which I have to submit tomorrow morning but instead I am trying to fix it bout it's totally out of my knowledge and I am starting to freaking out :((((

Ok so as I can not access any gui so I can not download the full information package
I got this when type certain commands:
uname
Linux
uname -v
#1 SMP Debian 5.10.226-1 (2024-10-03)
uname -r
5.10.0-33-amd64
uname -a
Linux VV 5.10.0-33-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.226-1 (2024-10-03) x86_64 GNU/Linux
Is that enough?
Once again, just like I mentioned I am not tech savvy and I might not know everything so I would be very grateful for any suggestions as I don't feel that much comfortable and a bit stupid while asking such a basic questions among such a specialists in field.

Can't locate Data/Dumper.pm in @INC You might need to install the Data:Dumper module)
(@INC entries checked: /etc/perl usr/local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/per1/5.40.0 usr/local/share/perl/5.40.0 /usr/lib/x84_64-linux-gnu/perl-base /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/per1/5.40 /usr/share/per1/5.40 /usr/local/lib/site_perl) at /usr/local/bin/inxi line 32.
BEGIN failed --compilation aborted at /usr/local/bin/inxi line 32.

Oh man.. have you made backups of your files? Might be easiest and quickest to just install anew, given your time issues.

Given this
I was blindly upgrading some libraries, as one my my application required it. And of course to make it easier I blindly followed AI generated suggestions
my recommendation is that you should start again with a clean install. Then ask here about that application and the new libraries you say it needs. And...don't ask AI anything much less follow them blindly.

Is is that bad?
I have a partial backup.
And also dual boot with Qubes OS which I will use to get my todays tasks done.
Just wondering if getting an access to the old files will be at any point possible? Not immediately but anytime in the future?
It is a harsh lesson. One of the hardest I faced when it comes to not trust AI, the fact is I have chosen to ask the machine as I don't feel judged when asking basic questions.

AIs are still in their infancy and the problem is that despite their various creator's claims, AIs will, when faced with a question where there is insufficient data to support a position, make stuff up. See here:

I see. My trust for AI systems has shredded to barely minimum now.
But now I am just wondering if there is any way to solve this issue, as the main challenge I am facing is that I have there notes of the book I've been working on for a while, and, of course, the lack of backup of these very files, which are from all others, the most crucial for me now. #WhyDoesITalwaysRainONme

Boot from the Live USB and see if you can access the files. When you do, save them onto another drive.

Your personal file are likely still on device and you can copy them off to another device or even your other os install.
But fixing is a shot in the dark without knowing what you did.

AIs are trained on the Internet, and as such reflect both its wisdom, and also its utter stupidity.

Technically, rock salt and natural glacier ice can be a type of rock, so can be eaten.
Glue pizza might be better than Hawaiian or Chicago-style pizza...
At least human advice here isn't obsolete yet.

Yes that is actually what I am going to do.
Boot from Live USB and accessing the files and save them (if possible, but I hope it will be)
too much stress! way too much :)))
thanks for all your advises!
