Buonasera a tutte e tutti voi.
Sono un utente inesperto che è tornato in linux solo pochi mesi fa.
Fin dall’inizio ho adorato la MX Linux 23. Alla RC della 23 ho ripreso installando MX Linux in vm.
Ho un vecchio laptop del 2009 con Intel core2duo P8400, 4gb di ram (il massimo supportato) ed un ssd sata2 ed 1 installazione in vm. Entrambe con l’ottimo XFCE.
Il problema dopo gli ultimi aggiornamenti ho deciso di reinstallare sia nel laptop che in vm e… sorpresa:il timeshift non riesce.
Ho seguito sempre la stessa procedura indicata in youtube da dolphin_oracle. Finora non ho avuto problemi ed i timeshift con btrfs erano sempre efficaci. Con le 2 nuove installazioni, fatte dalla ISO 23.3 il timeshift mi da l’errore in oggetto.
Qualcuno ha questo stesso problema?
Ho la possibilità di risolvere?

Pubblicare il proprio QSI. ( Menu MX, Informazioni rapide sul sistema, Copia per il forum, Incolla qui )

E si prega di pubblicare il log degli errori di timeshift. (Menu in alto a sinistra, Visualizza log di timeshift).

Ho bloccato il laptop tentando di installare un pacchetto.
Domani potrò sicuramente inviare i dati richiesti.

Quando si pubblicano i QSI, fare clic su "Copia per il forum" e poi incollare nel forum. In questo modo le informazioni vengono formattate correttamente con i tag di codice.

Per il log del timeshift racchiudere i dati in tag di codice evidenziando tutto il testo e cliccando su in cima al post.

Questa volta l'ho fatto per voi.

Grazie. Non sono un grande esperto ne di linux ne di forum. Alla mia età si è un meno "elastici" e sicuramente meno adattabili

Sembra che il problema sia causato dal file di swap. La soluzione più semplice è escludere quel file. (O passare a una partizione solo di swap).

Si, chiedo scusa! mi sono espresso male. Ho avuto questo problema da quando, seguendo le indicazioni dell'installer MXLinux 23.3, ho creato un file di swap invece della partizione. La mie precedenti installazioni erano tutte basate su partizione separata di swap.
Ora ho scaricato un ISO 23.4 ed ho avviato una nuova installazione con partizione swap e timeshift funziona perfettamente.

Non preoccuparti.

In cima ai messaggi, una volta effettuato l'accesso, dovresti vedere la barra delle icone. Sul post che contiene la soluzione, fare clic sul segno di spunta. (il più vicino all'icona del post).
