MX Package Installer bug?

Posted: Sat Jul 20, 2024 10:57 am

I don't use MXPI that often but I noticed it was updated a few times recently.
Today I noticed if I go to Popular Applications tab and click on Browser and Kernels it is not showing anything installed. Office isn't showing LibreOffice (backports version) installed but it does show the default installation packages (Foliate, PDF Arranger) and OnlyOffice (which I installed). I'm not sure what else is missing. I don't know if this is a bug or I'm missing something.

Try updating your apt caches.

Code: Select all

sudo apt update

Or possibly your caches are corrupt. ( You can clean them with MX Cleanup and then try the update again . )

first thing to post would be mxpi.log to be found e.g. within QSI tool.

I'm seeing the same thing. My browser is shown but both kernel meta packages aren't (Debian 6.1 and Liquorix).
I ran MX Cleanup/apt update and no change.

Kernels do show up in Enabled.

It's not apt cache problem. I cleaned it with the cleanup tool the used the refresh list button.
No change.
I see somebody else has the same problem.
Here is the log.
