No input after closing the lid

Was having similar issues, followed the advice here to purge (not just disable) xfce4-screensaver, installed light-locker instead and haven't had any issues since.

Yep, that solves freezing / black screen after suspend issues however the one suspending directly closing the lid is another long-time issue (which's not solved by that). In my trials with other window managers (same settings etc.) everything's fine, so it must be a problem/bug with Xfwm.
