... why is mention not working for me? ..

After typing the @ sign and 1-2 characters, select the name from the list that appears, otherwise (if you type the whole thing manually) despite the @ sign it won't be a mention.

So, this is a mention (I click the one in that list): @kmiles

But this is not (typed manually): @kmiles

I forgot that I had "block scripts" enabled in Brave, that's why I couldn't see the list haha.
