Hey @Tovian welcome back!
What do you use, the Xfce or KDE release?

KDE
It's the closest I found to Windows when I was just starting with Linux. I had been IBM Tech-Support for many years and a fairly heavy Windows user, but I knew nothing of Linux. So, the closer to Windows I could make Linux the more comfortable I felt. Then, the obvious progression after that was that I learned more about KDE than any other desktop. When Mint dropped KDE and I had to find a replacement I felt like I had wasted all the years I had invested in learning a bit about KDE - and I was verrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyy UNhappy. I'm well aware that most Linux "purists" don't care much for KDE, but CHOICES are supposed to be the biggest feature of PERSONAL computers. So, there you are. When you ask me a question you must be prepared for a much longer answer than you sought. That makes me a "BIG MOUTH" I suppose (but I guess there's worse things I could be).

Have a GREAT day !!

I believe Linux Mint still has KDE in its repos. I am sure you can replace the default desktop with KDE.
