Look at this: runwiththedolphin video Do a "Regular" Install of MX-21DMLinux wrote: Wed Jul 06, 2022 2:31 amEarlier tonight I installed MX on my PC. I think this issue is something that needs to be either in the MX User Manual or the Wiki and maybe a FAQ somewhere. Getting the Linux and Windows clocks cooperating with each other are not settings that have obvious paths to the correct options. Having a printed how-to would have been a big help.DMLinux wrote: Sat Jun 18, 2022 7:17 pmI learned that the hard way using the Live USB one time. I forgot to change the time at the Grub menu, so I set it in System Settings. I was surprised when I booted back into Windows and found it 5 hours ahead of time!towwire wrote: Sat Jun 18, 2022 10:37 am There is one other you need to think about and that is how you computer see's time. Windows see's time as 'local' unless you set it up to UTC/GMT while Linux see's time as UTC/GMT which you can change when you are installing MX.

Minute 1:35 shows a check box for 'System clock uses local time
Just below it you can pick time Format: 13:57 or 1:57 PM
If you have Windows installed, most likely you are local time. Unless you searched to make Windows use GMT and made the changes in Windows.
To check, just boot into Bios and look at the Date and Time, if it is the same as your local Date and Time then your are local time by your time zone.
Example my time zone is US-Pacific and my date is July 6 and the time is 20:00 or 8 PM, My Bios would show the date as July 7 and the time as 03:00 or 3 AM GMT or Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
