Even better, don't download things and install them. Use MX Package Installer, Popular Applications tab, Browsers section and install from there, if it's Chromium you're talking about.

He complained about the Debian version and said the Linux Mint version worked so I showed him how to install it.

He probably didn't enable kernel sandboxing in MX tweak, which Chromium requires,

Hi,
I see a few threads here from the OP and while there are various reasons things are working and not working I think in general at this point in time if you are going to hold on to using a 32bit Linux OS (BTW, I understand this, I continue to keep one 32bit machine running) you are going to have to be realistic and be aware that very few developers writing upstream code are thinking about realistically supporting 32bit or giving it any thought at all, nor are very many spending any time at all building and testing 32bit binaries... Upstream source code is provided and if packagers like the phenomenal MX Packaging team are nice enough to keep making 32bit binaries there are no guarantees... Just because source still compiles with 32bit doesn't necessarily mean it has been fully tested with 32bit or that all aspects of it can be predicted to work as well as it does on 64bit..
Google, Spotify, LibreOffice and a daily increasing number of projects are cutting out 32bit binaries and it's time to face up that 32bit is a deprecated back-burner platform... I don't like it either but 'it is what it is' so to speak. I wonder if for future versions of 32bit MX and antiX whether there should be a disclaimer or a reminder that 32bit is rapidly becoming 'User Beware"..?

That is still not the Quick System Info. Use the Tool {Quick System Info] in MX Tools to generate the full system info.
I don't think it's wise to just install further debs when we don't even know your present system, as it could make the situation with your computer less clear. Let's establish one thing at a time.
