Thank you for the help, but still no joy. I followed your instructions but am still getting the error message and not able use accept box.

Finally got qt5ct working without the error message. However the fonts do not change in showfoto toolbars. They do in digikam. What am I missing? Am I doing something wrong?
qt5ct is set as follows:
Style plastique Dialog default

I wrote a one line script:

export QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct && showfoto

I run that and everything works.
