I have always found manjaro to be excellent. I actually also like their rolling release process. I find the manajro release process much better (for me) than that used by Gentoo distros, for example. The only issue I ever really have had, in over 5 years of manjaro use, was with systemd errors (not actually a manajro problem). But even that over the years became more stable. Lately I, also, have played around with ArchLabs. It, is also a wonderful distro, especially well tuned to Openbox, i3wm and bspwm.

There is no need to ever be embarrassed about learning, trying, and expanding your vistas... :number1:

I'm too lazy to run Manjaro :) I don't like to constantly fiddle with my OS, or have to constantly update, or be reading about what might break my system next. Then again I think Ubuntu has too many updates :) I installed it years ago an it was easy to install, and I can appreciate that it is popular with many people.

Just install and use both, like me! :p

And appreciate their respective strengths and good points. Where one is weak, the other is strong, and vice versa.

I read somewhere that when installing Manjaro, formatting the "/" partition in btrfs was better, is that true?

And me. ;)
I'm running Manjaro on my daily laptop and so does my wife, not much issues in the past 5 years.

MX is on my desktop that is mainly used for music and printing, did not want to have to update that much.

And why is VLC looking odd? Maybe because it is qt.

Well, beside the fact that the text in the menu is too small (in regard with the size I have chosen in settings), there is this weird white/greyish stripe (which is a part of the UI I guess) between the video and the menu. Not a big deal though, just odd...
