I waited until she was able to walk normally and not stagger anymore. Like I said, I was afraid she might get sick in the taxi on the way home afterward, due to the effects of the sedative. It's hard enough to get taxi drivers to stop for you if you have a dog without them barfing on the back seat when one does finally pick you up.

And him now:

I was thinking "wow, that's a
remarkable colour change!" until I read the text.
Anyway, good luck with this, hopefully it's nothing too severe. I can't read the time stamp at the bottom, how old is he?

btw. Timmy (all 24 US pounds of him and nearly 1 m. long, ergo 'the big guy') had similar fang removal surgery. He has a very funny (cute) smile now.

Hahaha yeah I hear ya!
My old cat Stuffie had all his teeth removed.
One day we (my mate, the cat, and I) were at the vet for a checkup after the surgery, and there was this woman at the counter with a chihuahua.
Stuffie, who was this laid back big cat (no maine coon but still big) was on my lap. I figured I'd play a joke on her and told him "Stuffie... get him!!"
The lady looked back, saw Stuffie, her eyes went huge hahahaha.
My mate then replied: "No worries, he's got no teeth anymore"

Babe had that sort of dental work several years ago and it was far more traumatic for me than it was for her. Her vet at the time told me that cats are far more adaptable than dogs and that when a cat damages or loses a tooth the effects will be short term -- the cat may not even notice it in a day or two. The same sort of damage in a dog would turn it into an immediate, obvious, and prolonged basket case. Doerak's going to be fine. Give him some catnip when he gets home and if you can tolerate it, give yourself a large brandy.
