@Richard the torrent file downloads we were using up a lot of bandwidth. So we added the captcha and the downloads dropped by 90 %.

Sure. That's already stated by the error message. That does not answer the underlying question why a torrent download is needing this protection, which potentially might not only block robots but user. Rather suggest to get rid of the recaptcha for the torrent downloads, if technically or logistically possible.

Ahh, right. Didn't read post #11 before. 90% reduction, that's a lot. hope that the number of potential interested users has not also "reduced" by this.

Why would they if they are not robots like Richard? I would not be worried we have plenty of alternatives we have over 150 mirrors, surely somebody would find a way to download antiX or MX if they so wish...

Besides the captcha, a suggestion.

Why is the base-version in first place?
There are often antiX-beginners on the forum, who have base installed for no particular reason and are then completely puzzled why they can't install a printer for example. Base neither provides cups nor printer drivers.
What I want to say is that antix-full is more beginner friendly and belongs to me on the first place in the order.

It seems the bots are attracted to .torrent files, that's for sure. Would it fool them if we zipped them up and didn't have "torrent" in the name?

The order they are in is not a recommendation.
