gvfs-backends has been removed, thus limiting Thunar's network browsing.

The connectshares scripts work without it, but they don't really "browse".

Flash is working for me, but it looks like a flash-blocker is installed. So you get an "play" button in the middle of the window.

I should also point out that on my first loading of youtube.com, upon pressing this "play" button, nothing happens. Refreshing the page brought up the "play" button again, which worked the second time around.

Restarting qupzilla and going back to youtube yielded the same result.

Flash is not working in QupZilla. It worked in Midori in B1.

EDIT: Flash works in Firefox. (I can't remember if Flash worked in QupZilla with B1.)

Flash works fine in Qpz, it is just set by default to be click-driven (that arrow in the middle of the screen), can change in Preferences > Extensions > WebKit Plugins tab.

A couple of quick comments:

1. smplayer youtube works once you start vlc once.

2. the cups configure in browser link in settings looks for midori and fails.

3. gvfs-backends is not installed, which disables thunar network browsing/mounting in browser. You can still you connectshares to do your mounting.

4. flash problems (mentioned earlier) - click-to-flash prevents the flash windows on youtube from working correctly.

5. new default side bar much improved. its a wonder what little changes can make. consider mapping the "super_L" key to the whisker-menu. It makes using the search bar a 1-button-press affair (personal preference, I know...)

6. consider changing the left-click action on the volume icon to "slider" rather than "mute". The default is great if you have a mouse-wheel... again, personal preference, I know.

7. ceni window is looking good.

8. disk manager scares me.

9. mxuser appears to work as intended for adding uses, although deleted users remain in /etc/group

10. while obviously I didn't try every package in the meta-installer, I did try guayadeque, and it worked well.

Beta 2 up & running on Dell laptop.

No big surprises.

Still getting the reversion in Synaptic----Liveable.

Wireless did not connect up automatically. Located the link and DLd the Broadcom driver. Was told it was already installed??? Anyway after doing a re-install of the driver, the wireless connected right up.

Pretty much an un-thorough test run, but looks promising.

Wondering about an Nvidia driver install next--It has always been problematic on this laptop. Usually good for one or two OS reinstalls.

Thanks again developers.

xfce4-volumed is installed but volume up and down control from fn up/down arrow not working. Usually that works for me in xfce4.
Scratch that, after clicking around on the volume icon a few times it started working :-)

First pre-release I have had issues with networking.

1. Wireless will not connect with Network Manager, all previous versions were not an issue. Edimax N300, Realtech, but I cannot get the series number from inxi (see below). Is either EW-7317UG or EW-7317UHG
2. Ceni hangs when trying to switch from network manager to ceni control.
3. INXI -F hangs at the point reporting the network information if ceni has been tried.
4. System restart hangs at shutting down network
4. Reboot gives ceni control of networking, but ceni hangs trying to configure.

I will have to try a reinstall as I cannot get a network connection.

PS. Before trying ceni a direct ethernet connection did work.
Correction: the card is RTL8192CU and lsmod shows that driver is loaded.

EDIT: Reinstalled and all OK.

iso has been pulled.

Those that have it, ok and keep it for a patch.

Thanks; perhaps the default should be changed for release?
