Since starting with Linux I always wanted to modify Linux to mimic Windows, because I liked most Windows versions except 8 and 10.

In the opposite direction I also wanted to find substitutes for all the MX functionality while using Windows. So if someone is curious about MX app replacements for Windows, I think I have most of it covered. The biggest downside is that not all of these replacements are free.

I think everything has already been done related to the desktop paradigm, but I would love to be wrong. Maybe AI will surprise me.

Really like my latest theme, MX Xfce 23.6 ahs. Gruvbox DE/WM, terminal. Haiku icons, plank dock.

@rafales1959 I love your docker! Is that a standard install or id you modify it? Also, what happens to the docker when you open an app fullscreen?

"Tree of Life"

Artwork from deviantart, AVL-MXe 23 with Enlightenment 0.27.1 from MX Test Repo. Desktop 'gadgets' include clock, forecast, diskio, net, places. Some of these gadget modules have been ported to Enlightenment from Bodhi Linux and will appear in AVL-MXe 25. I've come to prefer these to a Conky because they are interactive and also they can be used on the Desktop or on the Panel (aka 'Shelf')..
