There is a booboo in the Disk Manager on both XFCE versions: "unknow driver"

ntfs-3g (IIRC) is available in the dropdown list and works fine, that one is a known.

Nvidia responds the same for me on both versions. But the HUGE fonts while booting on the sysvinit version always make me chuckle.. they go bigger on every new release it seems. I can now read them from way back in the yard. ;)

MX-Tweak 25.09.01mx25 Two issues.

1) When running live on 5 of the ISO requires multiple (3) authentications when clicking Apply. This is after checking multiple items (all but reset lightdm and use intel driver) on the Miscellaneous tab. The AHS (both) edition is slightly different, with just 2 authentications prompted.

2) The 'Enable Bluetooth adapters on boot' filled in checkbox clears (to unchecked) when apply is clicked. This is live and installed (bare metal, the PC in the attached QSI)

thanks.

I haven't been able to duplicate the multiple auth prompts, at least no without modifying policykit settings outside of the app.

a few of the actions do require their own prompts, but the script should be keep auth between them. can you give me a combo that triggers the multible prompts?

the bluetooth thing does appear broken, will look into it! thanks!

Using Libre Office Writer to compare two documents, the system froze and I had to kill the process.
The same thing happened momentarily after logging in again (coming back from CTRL+ALT+L) on the KDE edition running Wayland.

This isn't an issue with MX-25 fluxbox beta but more of a cosmetic issue.

When I install a program using MXPI, there's a padlock/key icon that shows up in my systray but I don't see it happening in the MX-25 XFCE beta testing I'm doing.
I also don't see this icon showing up when I use Synaptic to install programs in MX-25 fluxbox beta.

I would like to know how to disable it. (look for the black key icon at the far right)

use policykit-1-gnome instead of mate-polkit as your authentication agent.

Hmmm, maybe we should switch then b/c I'd seen it and didn't like it

-installed it
--hunted around to find it
--startup line

Code: Select all

/usr/lib/policykit-1-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 &

Thank you @dolphin_oracle
Installed policykit-1-gnome, adjusted my startup fie and that worked. :number1:

I'm loving MX-25 more and more.

Code: Select all

# add root access
#/usr/libexec/polkit-mate-authentication-agent-1 &
/usr/lib/policykit-1-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 &

Also, the sound captured through my Creative Live! Cam V2 is laggy and torn. I tried Webcamoid and Kamoso. Same in both apps on Wayland and X11. This is my sound configuration:
