@Melber

Is there a reason you don't suggest YAD's native color picker? I use a simple YAD command from a Desktop launcher to make a standalone Desktop color picker and it's sufficient for theming stuff and color matching etc... YAD is already there in MX anyway and your Folder app uses the color picker, or does the 'Color Picker' application have a lot of extra features that are needed?

@siamhie yeah, thanks. I know color-picker but find it a bit too overloaded.
@AVLinux yep, I usually just use yad. gcolor has a save color function which is sometimes useful.

Only mentioned gcolor3 because I saw it in mxpi and thought "oh, maybe it works now". Find it strange that debian keeps a known to be broken app in their repos for so long

probably works in gnome :p

color-picker in the repo is not hte same app that siamhie describes. color-picker in repo is a Qt frontend, and yes, agree its extremely busy.

No one can predict that I'm afraid.

Of course, the more testing and reporting of any problems that is done, the sooner Final will be released.

@Melber I like Gpick because it can change your mouse cursor into a crosshair to target a specific color pixel from an image using the icon at the bottom right corner.
It then displays the HTML color code along with the name of the color. Perfect for me when I'm creating fluxbox styles.

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

Running MX Beta xfce ahs.
I am running into an issue with the way live-usb-maker appears to work on MX:
Running 'sudo live-usb-maker -u' from terminal, it is expected to update target Live MX from source Live MX, just like under antiX. However, instead of proceeding to updating from the running Live MX after selecting target it appears to offer only 'Copy from an ISO file', asking for location of such, therefore not allowing to update a Live MX from a command line.
Update from gui MX Live usb-maker appears to work.

thank you, this is probably related to our move away from /live as a mount point for the live system. I think I know where to look, thanks again!

As a follow up to my earlier post regarding the 'Add hibernate button' not working on some test machines, but OK on others, I have further information to add.

(I have no clue why this happens, but have tested multiple times on both affected machines to be fully confident it is happening. (It's taken a while to track down...)

If I install with Secure Boot turned on, the Hibernate button option does not work. If I go back into the UEFI after installation and turn Secure Boot off, the option works.
If I install with Secure Boot turned off, the Hibernate button option works. If I go back into the UEFI after installation and turn Secure Boot on, the Hibernate button disappears, even though the option in Tweak is still checked.

This is repeatable; the Secure Boot option in the UEFI toggles the Hibernate button.

Pervious post with QSI of working and non-working machines:

Ah, so that probably explains the hibernate platform disabled message in the QSI.

I don't think that's fixable on my end. and quite frankly, it may be by design. But will look into reports.
