There seems to be a bit of a grey border to the left of the vertical scrollbar that probably isn't needed, but I couldn't work out how to remove it.
...
good you have it working. This beta thread isn't really the place to discuss scrollbar theming tweaks. I'll start a separate topic tomorrow to see if we can't fine tune your css...

Is it an oddity because I'm testing in VirtualBox, or has my favourite method of resizing windows... right clicking on a window somewhere while holding the Alt key and dragging the window to change the size.... is that no longer a thing in MX 25?

Cheers.
Just tested on my xfce beta live-usb.
Alt + left click hold to drag window and Alt + right click hold to resize window both work fine for me.

Beta 1 KDE, fresh install (same disk, separate FS).
3 days with it now, all day. I'm a happy customer. Runs smoothly. Just need to fine tune Plasma 6.
I've seen the issue with Hardinfo2, not sure I'm impacted so I won't touch it so far (seems like a nice tool btw).
Thanks the team !

Interesting, so we could "overwrite" that service with our own, and make it "right".
yeah maybe. working up a test deb now.
@fehlix @m_pav test debs here

they will remove the existing hardinfo2 group if it has a GID greater than 1000. otherwise its the same as the old setup, with the --system switch added to the groupadd and addgroup commands.

the service is invoked on install, so the change should be pretty instant. don't know if it causes any problems.

Given that there are obviously still a few bugs to work out, I have started a dedicated thread for the mx-ease themes to avoid spamming the main beta thread.

Please post any new bugs, issues or general weirdnesses with the mx-ease themes here MX-ease theme - bugs and feedback

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

I don't want to muddy the waters further. D_O has it right about Synaptic BUT I also have noticed a difference in how MX-23 and MX-25 deal with GTK4 themes... as an example on my MX-23 based system some early GTK4 Gnome apps like Simple Scan will correctly pick up the correct GTK4 theme but Simple Scan on an MX-25 base with the exact same GTK4 theme doesn't automatically select the correct theme. In those cases I've needed to use @Melber's handy GTK4 Theme selector utility and then they are correctly linked and work. As Gnome GTK4 evolves it seems less likely to work out of the box with themes that have early implementations of GTK4 support in them. It's all about libadwaita getting the correct linking to the selected GTK4 theme.

Info only

MX 25 KDE beta 1 - Using Dolphin File Manager 25.04.3 to connect and open to Samba aka SMB shares does NOT work. A listing of shares is visible. Using smbclient connection in terminal can be made.

Workaround - Install Nemo File Manager ... Thunar not available.

I will d/l and try Debian Trixie KDE to see if this is truly upstream from MX Linux.
