Dear All,
I have MX25 KDE beta on my computer and I'm completely satisfied. I installed Google Chrome, but it doesn't start in Wayland, but it does in x11. Is this normal?

Re: I installed Google Chrome, but it doesn't start in Wayland
chrome launches for me in wayland, but maybe it has a problem with the fermi era graphics card. you can launch from a terminal (google-chrome) and see if it gives any additional output. Don't know how much we can help with chrome being googles app, but doesn't hurt to look.Sjaak47 wrote: Fri Sep 26, 2025 10:59 amCode: Select all

Re: I installed Google Chrome, but it doesn't start in Wayland
Thanks for your help. I don't have much trouble with it, I rarely use Google Chrome. I thought it was a good idea to mention it. Starting it up via the terminal doesn't make any difference. I don't know how to post this beta version in the beta thread. Thanks for all the help.

Re: I installed Google Chrome, but it doesn't start in Wayland
The Google AI gave me this when I told it to search for the issue:
To make Google Chrome start in Wayland, launch it from the terminal with the flag "google-chrome --ozone-platform=wayland", or for a more permanent solution, open chrome://flags in the browser and set the "Preferred Ozone platform" to "Auto" or "Wayland," then restart Chrome.
