Melber wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 5:57 pm Look out for the update to mx-ease-themes_25.09.02, which should fix the above bugs.
The update also adds a depend for gtk2-engines-pixbuf to fix theme issues with qt6 based apps.
I got now this with mx-ease-themes

Code: Select all

Gtk-WARNING **: 00:05:17.823: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "adwaita",
Gtk-WARNING **: 00:05:17.825: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "adwaita",
not with your mx-comfort-themes and also not with mx-matcha themes.
Fixed Gtk-Warning with installing gnome-themes-extra,

Code: Select all

sudo apt install gnome-themes-extra
Danke @fehlix!

@dolphin_oracle Any objections to me also adding gnome-themes-extra as a depend?

django013 wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 2:16 pm How can I disable yakuake and its F4 shortcut?
That is completely anoying me!
I heavily use krusader, which has F4 shortcut to edit files. Even with krusader being active, F4 opens the anoying dropdown shell
You can find Yakuake in System Settings / Shortcuts and change it there.
Thank you very much - that worked indeed :)

other oddity:
reboot with a saved session shows all windows in first virtual desktop.
With mx23 each window reopens in the virtual desktop it was at save-time.

KDE ... MX Tweak does not open ... you see a window pop in the panel task manager, a circle going around for a bit, then it vanishes, and tweak does not open.

Also it still takes over 2 minutes of waiting at the login screen to be able to enter password and log in. Disconnecting/reconnecting keyboard/mouse doesn't do anything, I just have to wait.

I'm not seeing any of that here.

Tweak starts quickly both directly from the menu and from the Tools panel.
Can start typing my password as soon as the login screen appears.

Did you check the md5/sha256 of your downloaded ISO?

Hi,

Beta 1 KDE here, installed (not live).
I have some issues with Plasma 6 and hard to tell if it's related to this MX version or just Plasma itself (some settings are gone, themes not available anymore, etc)

Conky special fonts for icons (CPU, Battery, etc) are missing and can't find how to install them (Conky theme MX-Flair for ex).

It's totally usable as is for me, but will stay on MX 23 and do some more testing for the time being.

Which conky's specifically are you seeing this with? List them all.
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

I have installed Mx - Beta on a Dell with the following graphics card

NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada Generation

and I have installed the drivers from the MX - tools

The problem is that I can not login in Kde 6 Wayland from SDDM menu. I can only login in Kde 6 - X11, but I have some minor glitches with my mouse there (slow response) and I would like to try the Wayland version.

Any ideas?

Giannis

Yes, I have reported it a couple of times already since it is one of my favorite conkies. We have it on the list for a fix if possible during the beta phase, so thanks for spotting it.

Have not yet found it in any other conky but we will be going through the whole collection. Do you possible have time to go through the collection and report any other conky problems you spot (but not about opacity, we have a fix coming for that)? That would be a HUGE help.
