Unfortunately for you, that is not going to happen. Why do you find our forum difficult?eid wrote: Thu Sep 11, 2025 8:19 am the user interface of mxlinux is very difficult for me, it is not easy and not encourage me to follow and browse and learn etc,

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

I guess you are young (not that there's anything wrong with that), this kind of forums existed for decades and there's nothing with them other that they are not flashy. I think Zorin and Manjaro use Discourse which is fine, but it can also be annoying if you are used to this kind of traditional forums.
I don't think there's a desire to move to Discourse if anything it would probably be difficult to migrate user and content and probably more costly if we don't want to install Discourse ourselves. But the main thing is that few people feel the need of that (you can start a poll if you are interested) while the downsides are kind of clear.
But... you can start your own forum if you want nobody stops you from doing that, this very forum actually started as a fan forum of MEPIS it was called "mepislovers.org" initially and was started because MEPIS didn't have an official forum or the official forum sucked. So there's precedent...

Here's the user guide for the phpBB forum software.eid wrote: Thu Sep 11, 2025 8:19 am the user interface of mxlinux is very difficult for me, it is not easy and not encourage me to follow and browse and learn etc,

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

We do frown on discourse ( Debate ) It is one of the reasons I do not like "Arch."or their derivatives.
Rule #1 Backup Everything
Rule #2 Read Rule #1

They all work pretty similar... If you can drive a Toyota you'll figure out how to drive a Rolls Royce.. After that you're getting into opinions and those are endless. I frequent both phpBB and Discourse forums (even Discord sometimes) both have their pluses and minuses, after 10 seconds I'm not even thinking about the wrapping paper anymore and just using what's at hand..

I prefer good old phpBB myself. Any other subject, I would concede that the older phpBB aren't very mobile friendly, but, you know, Linux forum, so you're already proven not to be a slave to your cellphone...
Re: mxlinux forum is difficult
I am not sure the following forum will help you or not ....but it too is traditional
https://www.linuxquestions.org/question ... linux-127/
It also has a forum for debian which may have help with specific to debian matters.
gives me a chance to say young people seem to like reddit?
https://www.reddit.com/r/MXLinux/
but I find reddit not easy to lurk or browse.....eg sub forums for hardware or software or whatever

I shudder to think what this place would be like if mobile-first kids found it and considered it a comfortable place to be.rickyraccoon wrote: Thu Sep 18, 2025 10:28 pm the older phpBB aren't very mobile friendly, but, you know, Linux forum
Re: mxlinux forum is difficult
I agree with OP. I still haven't figured out how to make it so that I get notified of response to threads or how to subscribe to them (even my own). In addition, inserting images or links is weird. One probably has to look up some HTML or so. and the underline, bold, font size settings etc. aren't available right now.
I'm not complaining, just providing constructive feedback.
I noticed that with many Linux forums. Maybe they all use older forum software. Or they think someone asking about Linux, should learn terminal commands first and not expect a GUI :-)
