Hey, everyone.
I’m trying to find a KDE front-end for mp3gain.
I have already installed it on XFCE (MX Linux) on my laptop but on my desktop I can’t seem to find anything suitable, although I’ve installed the mp3gain back-end.
Someone in the KDE forum suggested this: https://discuss.kde.org/t/mp3gain-front ... -kde/37922 but it can't be installed and I don't know the reason.
Any ideas?

HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;
In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Re: Mp3gain frontend for KDE?
I think you installed it, but its menu entry says not to show up on KDE menus:
Can you start it from the terminal with :easymp3gain-gtk" ?
Code: Select all
NotShowIn=KDE;
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

Re: Mp3gain frontend for KDE?
I have been using soundKonverter for years for conversion and gain functions. It supports mp3gain.
It is still available in Bookworm repo so will be available in MX-23, but seems to have been dropped for Trixie. It is still available and useable in my test dual boot of Trixie which was upgraded from Bookworm. I think it depends on Qt5 packages whereas Trixie has moved mainly to Qt6.
