Some comments:
* suggest to disable nouveau driver for the nvidia card
by one of these ways:
A) with manually added boot parameter
or
B) a more "robust" forcing the kernel to ignore nouveau with boot-parameter
or
C) select within the LiveGRUB menu -> Advanced -> Boot parameter -> "vcard menu"
which should give a selection menu of found video cards, and may help to load X11 properly
when selecting the intel card not the nvidia device.
One of those methods may help the Live running system to let Qt load properly X11/xcb plugin libraries.
* In addition we have now a fairly new official snapshot MX-23.6_July_x64.iso from July 17., which may help to avoid updating loads of packages since release-
Either at sourcforge or one of the closer ISO mirrors
