panel: pinned and running app icons [Solved]
panel: pinned and running app icons
I'm using MX Linux 23.6. Opening a pinned app in the panel causes its icon to move down and the 'opened' app icon appears above it. Is there a way to have icons of opened apps appear below all of the pinned app icons? Thanks.

Re: panel: pinned and running app icons [Solved]
@delta1071 Welcome in!
Not sure I exactly follow what your asking, but I am going to point you to a post I just did about the xfce panel, icons and the Docklike Taskbar panel. (the Docklike taskbar sits ON the xfce panel, and depending upon you / where you put / move icons it may be what your seeing.
Have a look at this viewtopic.php?p=825918#p825918 and if it doesnt answer your question(s) or isnt quite what your after, then lets have you post an image of what your attempting to do and we shall figure it out.

Re: panel: pinned and running app icons
@CharlesV Thank you for the link which goes a long way toward explaining the nuances of the panel. I reconfigured the panel by moving the Docklike Taskbar down below the pinned apps. Now, when a pinned app is open, the app's running icon (with the little colored rectangle on its right) is beneath all the pinned apps, which is what I was looking for. Thanks again.
