MX not finding my wifi adapter  [Solved]

#1 Post by JLS727 »

I am trying to install MX 23.6 on a new HP laptop but it doesn't find the wifi adapter. The adapter info is HP Wireless Realtek 8852BE-VT Wireless LAN WiFi 6 PCI-E NIC. Can someone help me determine how to find a driver so MX can use this adapter? Thanks.

If it's new, it may require the AHS edition to support recent hardware.

Edit: Yes, it seems our AHS edition is required, with its newer kernel and firmware.

MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

Thanks for the help Stevo. The AHS edition does find the the wifi adapter. I should have known to try that. Thanks again for the help.
