Can't install Wine on MX Linux 23.6

Hi!

Tried to install Wine via MX Package Installer, got following problem. Also tried to install with https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/w ... ian-Ubuntu following the guide but gave exactly the same problem. Can someone help please?

First fixing broken packages

sudo apt install -f

sudo dpkg --configure -a

Thanks, I did this all and followed the guide. Wine still doesn't install, initial problem still persists. Last resort would be to do a clean install of MX and try again, but rather not.

Why did you not choose to install it via MXPI --> Popular Apps --> Misc?
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

I had this same problem. Did you guys by any chance upgrade anything from the test repo before trying to install wine?

There appears to be some combination of one or more of the test repo versions of these that can break wine, at least on my system.

gir1.2-xapp-1.0
heif-gdk-pixbuf
heif-thumbnailer
qt-heif-image-plugin

In my case apt install -f, apt install --fix-broken, dpgkg --configure -a and Synaptic could not fix the broken packages/dependency hell.
