How to Update AV Linux Greatest Hits?
Hello, I have switched to Linux 5 months ago and I am now running AV Linux Greatest Hits 23.5, 64bit. I am just wondering if the whole updating process to 0.27 is similar to that of the Vanilla Version of AV Linux as posted on this forum. If so, could someone please also elaborate on how to deal with the "places" module? As I am not exactly sure what to do in terms of "installing a matching module". Thanks.

Hi,
There is an update to Enlightenment 0.27 that can be found in the 'MX Test' Repo tab of the MX Package Installer... BUT are you sure you need the update? Compared to 0.25.4 there are not a lot of significant changes or new features, also most of the bug fixes were not really for commonly encountered bugs. I can tell you there is nothing there that makes any difference to working with Audio or Video.
That said if you feel you really need the update then it's in MX Test and because the Places module is an external thing not handled by MX you can find an updated Places module here:

I might put it off in that case. Thanks for the quick reply Glen.
