Hello guys! There is a new release for quodlibet music player. I wonder if you could upgrade to this release. It has many improvements. Thank you!

Easy to build, it's just a Python application.

./setup.py build install

The developer just recommend not doing it this way because it doesn’t provide a way to uninstall the application.

I would just build this application in a Docker. That way you have a way to get rid of it and test if everything went OK.

In our repositories we have version 4.5.0-2

Last month newest version is 4.7.1

Quodlibet is maintained by Debian. Currently at 4.5.0-2 (Bookworm) and Trixie (Debian 13) looks to have the 4.6.0-6 version.

as Flatpak it can also be found in the latest version in MXPI
my working horse Desktop AMD Ryzen 9 3900x, 32GB Ram // SSD ... enough
mx-fluxbox, what else?

I've backported the Trixie version to MX 23, but trying the same build template for 4.7.1 fails with a lot of errors. If you want it early, it's here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hbAGwH ... sp=sharing
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing
